3D Painting Guide

Thank you for purchasing one of our 3D products! We truly appreciate your business.

Your 3D terrain should be ready to use right out of the box - no assembly required. Of course, it will look a lot better on the battlefield with some color! To get you started, we’d like to provide you with some information on how to eliminate print lines and prepare your model(s) for painting.

We strongly recommend using Rust-Oleum 2-in-1 Filler & Sandable Primer, which is formulated specifically to help fill in imperfections, though any primer that is deemed safe on plastic should do just fine.

Be sure to follow the directions provided on the can of your choice, waiting the recommended time between coats. We recommend 2-3 coats to achieve the best results. Below is a pictured example of what your product can look like when effectively primed and painted.

Primed & Painted

Applying primer beforehand can virtually eliminate all the lines left from the printing process. If you’re still not satisfied after you’ve finished priming, consider adding one more coat. Alternatively, you could finish off your model with top coat of varnish to help fill in any gaps.
