Most of our 3D printed terrain should be ready to use right out of the box, no glue or assembly required (unless noted). Of course, it will look a lot better on the battlefield with some color! To get you started, here are some tips on how to eliminate print lines and prepare your model(s) for painting.

We strongly recommend using a filler or sandable primer which is formulated specifically to help fill in minor imperfections, though any undercoat that is deemed safe on plastic should do fine. Regardless, be sure to follow the directions provided on the solvent of your choice, waiting the recommended time between applications. To achieve the best results we suggest 2-3 coats—this virtually eliminates lines left from the printing process. If you are still not satisfied consider adding one more, but don't overdo it. You can always finish off your model with a top coat of varnish to help fill in any remaining gaps. When leaving your project out to dry for extended periods, please be advised that direct sunlight or extreme heat may warp or melt plastic.
